As part of its entry into the FPD (Flat Panel Display) test market, Agilent unveiled its two new FPD testers and acquired from IBM's TFT (Thin Film Transistor) array test and charge test assets in mid October 2004. Between the two test systems, 88000 ATS-600 Array Test System is designed to test large TFT substrate panels while 88000 HS-100 High Speed and Sensitivity Array Test System focuses on smaller panels used in mobile phones, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant), and digital cameras. Both systems test TFT arrays in LCD and AM OLED (Active Matrix - Organic Light Emitting Display).
